Scars are actually a good thing. They are the product of wound repair when your skin becomes damaged. They are a by product of your body’s healing process without which infection would quickly set in and you would suffer pretty severe consequences.

Scars happen because the body has to basically replace the damaged tissue in a very quick time frame meaning that the scar tissue is of an inferior quality to the original skin tissue. Unfortunately, most people would agree that although it is a necessary evil, a scar is not a pretty thing.

Depending on the type of scar and where it is located, they can be quite difficult to get rid of, but it is possible with the right knowledge to visibly reduce scarring in many cases. Be warned though, its not an overnight process and some scars may take weeks or even months to show any visible signs of improvement. Eventually though it is quite possible that even the worst cases can be successfully addressed. So what are the best natural products to help reduce scarring.

Well, the first one is lemon juice. Its a great natural disinfectant and also acts as a mild chemical peeling agent. Its best not to use it on tender or new scar tissue as it can actually cause irritation as it basically removes a thin top layer of skin. To use it, mix pure lemon juice with rosewater and apply directly onto the skin. Repeat the process once a week until the scar begins to diminish. This treatment is particularly good at clearing up acne scars.

Next up is natures super anti-bacterial product – Aloe Vera. Pure Aloe is not only really good for your skin but also your overall health including your digestive health. It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties as anyone who has had sunburn will testify. I would recommend an aloe based gel or oil applied directly onto the skin for best results. Avoid commercial sun care products though as they are usually not of a high enough aloe concentration and they may also include perfumes and other ingredients that could cause irritation.

So, there you go. Now you can see that not only is it possible to reduce scarring in many cases, but that this is a relatively simple process that can be done using easily available natural products. Now go on and change your life.
